Dorothy M. Zimmer

Zimmer, Dorothy M., age 94, of Kettering, passed away on Friday, March 23, 2012. Dorothy retired as a controller from the University of Dayton with over 20 years of service, she also taught elementary school at St. Anthony for 6 years. She was a member of the Church of the Incarnation and enjoyed traveling and her grandchildren.

Dorothy is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Lawrence "Larry" (Margaret) Zimmer; daughters and son-in-law: Nancy Zang & Connie (Steve) Pester; sister: Sister Georganne "Corrine" Brown OSF; 6 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; son-in-law: Andy Anderson; and numerous other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Isador & Mary Brown; husband: Lawrence Zimmer; daughter: Bonnie Anderson; 2 sisters and 1 brother.

Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 12:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at Church of the Incarnation, 55 Williamsburg Lane, Centerville with Father Lawrence Mierenfeld Celebrant. Interment will follow Mass at Calvary Cemetery in Kettering. The family will be receiving friends from 10:00 A.M. until 11:30 A.M. on Wednesday morning at Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel) 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Edmundite Missions, 1428 Broad St., Selma, Alabama 36701-4304, envelopes will be provided.
