Dorothy Elizabeth Lankford Harlow

Dorothy Elizabeth "Red" Lankford Harlow, age 96, of Dayton, passed away on January 15, 2022. She was born in Dayton, Ohio, on September 18, 1925, the daughter of the late Christie and Ella Murrell.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Donald Harlow, Sr.; sons, David Michael Lankford and Wayne Lester Lankford; step-daughter, Bonnie Harlow; and her siblings, Anna, Wilma Marie, Sidney, Tracey and Broadus.

Dorothy is survived by her loving children, Ronnie (Grace) Lankford, Sharon (Johnny) Swafford, Randy (Debi) Lankford, Doug (Susan) Harlow, Donald (Vonda) Harlow and Dana (Mike) Homan; 9 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; step-daughter, Darla Seefluth; and many other loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.

She was a Beautician, owning her own shop, "Donnel's Beauty Shop" in Beavercreek. Dorothy was also employed with AMF and then retired from Shopsmith Inc. In her free time, she enjoyed sewing, reading, traveling to Branson, Missouri, spending time with her family, having a "cold one" and as she grew older, enjoying a good cookie & candy. Dorothy was devoted to her family and was there for anyone who needed her. She was a wonderful caregiver to her family and those she loved. She will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held from 10:00am-11:00am, on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, where Funeral Services will begin at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Willow View Cemetery.
