Cox, Dorothy L., age 83 of Harrison Twp., passed away at Hospice of Dayton on Wednesday, Oct 15, 2008. Dorothy was born November 5, 1924 in Greenville, Ohio to the late Raymond David Goens and Stella (Preston) Goens. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence V. Cox and son, Lawrence V. Cox, Jr.. She worked at Delco Products in Dayton and was a wife and mother of 4 children, Joyce (Cox) Madigan and husband Mike of Henderson, NV, Joan L. Collett of Northridge, & James D. Cox and wife Debi of Northridge; grandchildren, Stephanie (Kevin) Rakes, Sean (Crystal) Madigan, Brian Collett, Jennifer (Jeff) Gallagher, Shannon (Rob) Baker, Ricky (Amber) Collett, Shannon Cox, Melanie (Jeremy) Bolyard, Michael J. Madigan, II, Christopher (Brookie) Cox, Tabitha Collett, & Jessica Cox; great-grandchildren, Lori & Beth Rakes, Cole, Cason, & Gunnar Collett, Keegan & Brianna Madigan, Hannah Gallagher, Abbey & Zach Baker, Nicholas Holmes, Caleb Cox, William Jones, Courtney & Kennedy Collett, Tyler Hogsten, Braiden Hall, & Kailen Cox; daughter-in-law, Sue Cox; special friends, Leon & Kathy Martin, and Mary & Charles Lauricella; and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Monday, October 20, 2008 at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, Ohio, with Rev. Dewey Pope officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 5-8 PM. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
