Dorothy Klinger

Dorothy P. Klinger, age 95, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at her home in Casstown, Ohio.
She was born on July 2, 1919 in Dayton, to the late Albert and Esther (Overholser) Klinger.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, William E. Klinger, and her brothers Donald, Harold, and Daryl.
She is survived by her children, Bill Klinger and Deborah Lynne (Randall) Lankford; grandchildren, Randy Lankford and Zach Lankford; sister, Lois (Richard) Hallbauer; and brother, Gene (Nancy) Klinger.
Dorothy excelled as wife, mother, homemaker, and volunteer for church and community. Everyone witnessed her "love of home," expressed through two favorite hobbies, needlework and gardening. Multiple awards recognized the artistry of her beautiful flower gardens.
In recent years, Dorothy's greatest joy was encouraging and supporting her grandsons in their emergence as successful adults.
The family extends very special thanks to the Zimmerman cousins for their many kindnesses to Dorothy, especially during her happy years in Casstown.
Family and friends will be invited to remember Dorothy at a Memorial Gathering, to be held later.
