Dorothy J. Grabeman

Grabeman, Dorothy J., age 89, born November 11, 1917, was only a few days from her 90th birthday at the time of her death on Thanksgiving Day. The family is truly thankful fro her long and rich life.

Daughter of Marie (Craine) & Bennie Schlegheck, she was a graduate of Kings Mills High School and Miami Jacobs College.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Robert and Glen, sister Virginia (Wolf) Schlegheck, and her husband of 65 years Theodore Grabeman, Jr.

Dorothy is survived by daughter Janet Duke and son Michael (Suzi) Grabeman, grandsons Tim, and Tom (stacey) Duke and Chad (Dianne) and Todd Grabeman, great grandchildren Brandon, Sean, Allison and Jacob Duke and Aiden, Lillian and Martin Grabeman. She is also survived by her brother Gene (Norma Jean) Schlegheck and sister Gayle (Larry) Layman.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, November 26, 2007 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 239 Wayne Ave., Dayton with Reverend Robert Miller officiating. Interment will follow the service at Davids Cemetery in Kettering. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 9:30 A.M. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Lutheran School of the Miami Valley. Arrangements in care of Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel), 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering.
