Dorothy Hissong

HISSONG, Dorothy Marie
age 89, of Miamisburg passed away Monday, May 1, 2006 at Sycamore Glenn Nursing Home. Dorothy was born July 24, 1916, the daughter of John and May Randolph. She was a life-long member of the Ladies Auxiliary, VFW Post #2800. Dorothy also served as president for District #3 and the Montgomery County Council. She is survived by her son, Gary (Tonya) Hissong; grandchildren, Dave, Kristin and Brian; and great grandchildren, Kyle and Katie. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold Hissong; and sister, Gladys Acree. Family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, May 4, 2006 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd. The Ladies Auxiliary, VFW Post #2800 will hold a ceremony at 6:30 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to Hospice of Dayton in Dorothy's Memory.
