HEADING, Dorothy, age 79, of Dayton, died Tuesday, May 27, 2008. She was born October 28, 1928 in Irvine, KY, the daughter of the Thomas and Mollie (Hisel) Alcorn. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Huber Heights. She is survived by two daughters, Charlotte Moneagle and Jacqueline Heading; two sisters, Stella Morrow and Laura Harper; 4 grandchildren, Christopher Northern, Valerie Rowley, Trish Moneagle, Casey Taylor; 6 great-grandchildren, Amanda Rowley, Jeffrey Rowley, Dillion Rowley, Anthony Waker, David Kennedy, and Derrick Heading. She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Heading, Jr.; son, James E. Heading, III; both parents; four brothers and three sisters. Visitation will be held Friday, May 30, 2008 from 5-7 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel with funeral services at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor John Haines officiating. A private commital service will be held a later date. If desired, donations may be made to Crossroads Hospice or Bethany Lutheran Village.
