Dorothy Ann Haughey

Dorothy Ann "Dottie" Haughey, 89, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2022. Loving mother of Debbie (Dave) Raterman, Steve (Patti) Haughey, James (Ann) Haughey, Tom (Laurie) Haughey and Cathy Pitzer, cherished grandmother of 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren and adored sister of Jerry, Janie, Barbie, Harry, Rosie and Dee.

Dottie was preceded in death by her loving husband of 47 years Esta "Neal" Haughey, her parents Sylvester and Pauline Fecher, son in law Ron Pitzer and siblings Bill, Dick, Jack, Fritz and Tommy.

Dottie was a charter member of St. Helen Parish since 1953 and a member of the Alter Rosary Society as well as the Ladies Auxiliary for the Knights of Columbus. After raising her five children, she spent her later years working as a bank teller for Third National Bank. Dottie was known for always having dogs around the house and she loved them all. One of her most cherished accomplishments was teaching water aerobics at Lohrey Center for more than 20 years but above all, she was most proud of her family...children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Public visitation will be held at St. Helen Parish (605 Granville Pl, Dayton, OH 45431) on Friday October 14, 2022 at 09:30 am with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 am. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dottie's memory can be made to St. Helen Parish or school.
