Dorothy Sue Griffith, age 66 of Dayton, passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 4, 2016. She was born May 14, 1950 in Dayton to the late Herman C. Moore and the late Leatha (Bell) Cross. In addition to her parents; Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, William Griffith, Sr.; daughter, Joy Griffith and brother, Charles "Fuzzy" Bell, Sr.
She is survived by her beloved pet and constant companion, Miss Maxine; 4 children, William (Gardenia) Griffith Jr.; Veda (Guy) Stroder; Donna (Mark) Reeves and Carmen Pleasants; grandchildren, Sheldon Michael, Caleb Reece, Peyton Nathaniel and Nathaniel Sr.; great grandchildren, Navon, Nate Jr. and Aria; siblings, Anthony Cross, Tyron Cross, Lesley Anderson, Dion Anderson, Nell Cross, Missy Cross and Jeffrey Cross; her adopted daughter/niece, LeRoy Carla Taylor.
Dorothy was affectionately known as Aunt Sue but also as a second mom to all her nieces and nephews.
She will always be known for her cooking with a line out the door waiting, which often caused many fun fights over her dressing, greens and banana pudding. Dorothy expressed her love through her cooking which brought her family and friends together often.
