GARRETT, Dorothy "Aileen"
Passed away Saturday, November 16, 2013, at the age of 91 in her home surrounded by loved ones. She is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, John and son, Jeff. She is survived by her daughter Pam, and son-in-law John Daugherty of Dayton OH. She has one granddaughter (Shannon), 2 grandsons (Kevin and Kyle), daughter-in-law (Teresa) of Orange County, CA and brother, Bill Ketchum of Cerritos CA. She also has numerous nieces and nephews throughout the country.
Aileen was a Registered Nurse for 47 years. She retired from the Dayton Veterans Administration Hospital as Registered Nurse in charge of Admission and Outpatient Departments where she worked the last 17 years of her nursing career. She loved her independence, enjoyed socializing with friends, was an animal lover and cherished her time with her daughter and grandchildren. Aileen never knew a stranger and was known to all as "Mom". Not one for the limelight, she was the constant in our lives and will be greatly missed by family, neighbors and friends.
Graveside services will be held at Greenville Union Cemetery, Greenville, OH. www.newcomerdayton.com (Beavercreek).
