FIELY (Brown), Dorothy, age 95, passed away Sunday, January 10, 2016. She was born September 3, 1920 in Dayton. She was the daughter of the late Lee Brown and Ida Mae Vauble.
In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her brothers, Lee and Gene; her husband of 44 years, Othmar; her son, Jim; her son-in-law, Jack, and loyal friend, Mary Lou Rachlow.
She leaves behind three children, Cindi (Tom) Gantner, Terry Schlorman, and Jeff Fiely; daughter-in-law, Marge Fiely; sister-in-law, Alice Fiely; grandchildren, Kathleen Jones, Christopher (Ellie) Weiher, Danielle (Brian) Cooper, Nicole Vernon, Christopher Schlorman, Juliette and Adrienne Fiely; great grandchildren, Brandi and Bruce Whitelow and Christopher Schlorman; great great grandchildren, Brook'Lynne, Jameer, and Bran'dinn Whitelow, Avery and Sydney Cooper, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was a graduate of Fairview High School. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and loved spending time with her family. She loved reading, embroidery, movies, and playing cards. She was an active member of St. Helen's Parish for many years and was involved in the Leisure Club, St. Vincent de Paul, and the House of Bread.
The family will receive visitors from 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at St. Helen's Church, 605 Granville Pl, Dayton after which she will be buried beside her late husband at Calvary Cemetery, Dayton. In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made to Hospice of the Miami Valley, 46 N. Detroit St., Xenia, OH 45385.
