Dorothy Elizabeth Ross

ROSS, Dorothy, age 72, passed away Saturday, April 12, 2008 at home. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Lilian Powell and brother, Stanley Powell. Dorothy is survived by her husband of 51 years, Harold Ross; children, Kathy (Paul) Brown, Sandy (Doug) Scherbauer, and Mark (Sharon) Ross; sister, Eileen Stiles, and grandchildren, Garrett Brown, Ashley Ross and Joshua Ross. Dorothy became a U.S. citizen at Scott Air Force Base, IL on Oct. 15, 1969. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and taught girls' softball at WPAFB rec. center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton. Family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00pm Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
