Age 87, of Dayton, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2008.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, John W. Chatterton, in 1990; two sons, Gary L. Campbell & Kenneth W. Chatterton; brothers, James, Harold, Walter & Ralph; and by her sisters, Virginia & Juanita.
Dorothy is survived by two daughters, Sharon & Rick Hornback and Lorena & Mark Napier; five grandchildren, Bob (Regina), Sheri (Rob), Dawn (Joe), Gary "Scottie" & Tammy; one great grandson, Bobby Ray; her best friend, Pam (George) Bell and by a host of nieces, nephews and many good friends.
Dorothy was a long-time member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.
The family would like to send a special "thank you" to Dorothy's church family, Pastor Darrell Messer and all who she loved and who dearly loved her.
The family will be receiving friends from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton. Funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m., with interment at Dayton National Cemetery.
