KINGMAN, Dorothy "Dottie" Jean (Walker), age 59 of Dayton, was carried home by angels on May 24, 2013. Dottie was a member of Dayton Christian Union Church and was the lead singer and bass player for the country gospel music group, "The Jordan River Band", which she founded. She loved to sing and laugh and had a great sense of humor.
Dottie was preceded in death by her father and mother, Harold and Lula Walker; grandson, James Zachary Miller; father to her sons, Jay W. Miller; and special friend and drummer to her band Mike Henry.
She is survived by her beloved husband, David Kingman; sons, Stoney Jay (Erin) Miller and Bret Zachary (Heather) Miller; brother, Harold (Linda) Walker Jr.; sisters, Edith Walker, Darla (Dick) Ortman, and Shirley (Jules) Burden; dear friends, Debbie Davis and Debra Voiles; 6 grandchildren, Alexis, Kyle, Faith, Kaleb, Melody, and Noah; and many other loving relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dottie's name to the American Cancer Society.
Dottie will remain loved and greatly missed. Now she is Singing With The Angels.
