Dorothy A. Cummins

Dorothy Annabel Cummins, age 91 of New Carlisle, Ohio, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2020 at Miami Valley Hospital. She was born December 19, 1928 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Harry and Sybel Neller.

Dorothy was a member of the First Church of God. For many years, she was employed at Wal Mart where she cherished the relationships she formed there. She loved to travel to many places including Florida, Alaska and her dream vacation to Hawaii. In her younger years, Dorothy enjoyed riding motorcycles with her handle being "Bubbles". She liked to collect owls and angels. She had many dear pet dogs over the years who were very special to her. Dorothy will be remembered for her quirky, feisty sense of humor and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Cummins; grandson, Chris Rowland and siblings, Harry, Alice, Harold, Sybel, Dixie and Carl.

Dorothy will be missed by her step-children, Vernon Cummins and Wilma (Keith) Rowland; grandchildren, Candice, Michael and Danny Cummins and Joey Rowland; niece, Beckie (Roger) Huckaby and their children, Ian (Leanne) Huckaby, Tiana (Sean) Davis, Kaylee (Andrew) Price and Jennifer (John) Kettlewell; as well as many other nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, May 7, 2020 at Arlington Cemetery, 8207 Arlington Rd., Brookville.

The "Dorothy Cummins Memorial Fund" #8509 has been set up at the Dayton Foundation for anyone wishing to to give a contribution in her memory.
