CHAMBERLIN, Dorothy "Dottie" L., 93, of Enon went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, October 21, 2006. She was born May 27, 1913 in Dayton, Ohio, to Richard and Clara Prose. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister Glady's; husband Ned A. Chamberlin; first husband and father to her three children Elmer W.F. Otto; and son-in-law Joe Kotsko. Dottie leaves to mourn her two daughters Marlene Kotsko and Roberta (William) Bias; son Richard (Nancy) Otto; 9 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 9 great-great grandchildren; foster children James M. Bias and Sandra J. Roberts and families; special friend Dr. Bud Underwood, wife Kay and family; two nephews Michael (Sharon) and Norman (Bari) Belcher and families; sister-in-law Eddee Curry; nephew Craig; and many other family and friends. Dorothy ministered to many children in her home and in Sunday School; started teaching classes at church in the early 1930's and continued throughout her 80 years by helping her son in puppet ministry called Sunshine Mountain. She sang in choir and small group, was Sunday School advisor, and church secretary. Dorothy received a Distinguished Services Award by the Church of Nazarene for her involvement in puppet ministry. She was a Christian Life Director, instructed teachers training in both Dayton and Springfield areas, active in satellite bible school. She loved being a "bus jumper" for church picking up children. She love people, especially children and always offered a helping hand to those in need and wisdom to those who would listen. Dottie loved animals - cats, dogs, and birds which were always a part of her household. She loved outdoors, swimming, and picnicking with family and fishing with her dad. She was retired from DESI as a payroll clerk. Many thanks to the Vitas Hospice Staff for their loving care during Dorothy's illness. Funeral services will be held 11:00AM Tuesday, October 24, 2006 at Bethel Community Church of the Nazarene, 4400 Osborne Rd, in Medway. Pastor Dan Witter officiating. Family will receive friends from 5-8PM Monday, October 23 at the church. Interment at Woodland cemetery to follow services.
