Age 86, of Kettering, passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2008, at Bethany Lutheran Village where she had been a resident for the past five years.
Dorothy is survived by her husband of the past 61 years, William R. Gray; one daughter and son-in-law, Candis & William Pees; one son and daughter-in-law, William & Carey Gray; five grandchildren, Brady & Brooke Pees, Kathryn Pees, Josh & Raya Steele, Elizabeth Gray, Emily Gray; one great grandson, Austin Pees; and by one sister, Mary Etta & Jim Sumpter.
Dorothy was a member of Grace United Methodist Church for over 60 years. With the church she served as a Sunday school teacher, was active with United Methodist Women and a member of Grace Couplets. She was a long-time member of PEO (CV) and TTT (Ohio F) societies.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 5, at Grace United Methodist Church, 1001 Harvard Blvd. @ Salem Ave. The family will be receiving friends following the service in the church parlor.
The family would like to thank the staff of Gardenview (of Bethany Lutheran Village) for the excellent and loving care they provided to Dorothy.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Dorothy to Graceworks Lutheran Services for Bethany Lutheran Village or to the Grace UMC Memorial Fund.
