VanZant, Dorothea M. "Dot" age 74 passed away October 4, 2011 at Greene Memorial Hospital.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Helen Cherpeski; husband, Frederick VanZant; 3 brothers, and 1 sister.
She is survived by children, Phyllis Eckes, Frederick (Cathy) VanZant, Doris (Dan) Smith, and Kimberly (Gary) Coveyou; grandchildren, Christopher Berry, Angela Berry, Cristin (Ryan) Butler, D.J Smith, John VanZant, Jamie Davis, Alyssa Coveyou, and William Coveyou; great-grandchildren, Hannah Berry, Samuel Barrett, Dean Barrett, Dillon Barrett, and Easton Butler; sister, Patricia Brown, and devoted friend, Marty Thompson.
Dot was a Beta Sigma Phi, member of Eastern Star, and a GMH volunteer. She will be greatly missed by all.
The family will receive friends Friday, October 7, 2011 from 12:30 pm until the time of service at 2:30 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home – Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd. Interment at Fairview Primitive Baptist Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Cancer Society.
