Dorothea "Dottie" Coder (Linville) 78, was escorted by Angels into Jesus' arms on May 20,2011, where she will join her sister, Mary Kiehl& her brother Don Linville.
She was born in Mt Olivet, KY on July 7,1932.
She moved to Dayton and was married to Charles (Bob) Coder on June 21, 1952.
Bob shared his deep love and devotion to her as he cared for her many needs during her long illness.
She has 5 children - Terri Domsher (Gary), Kathleen Abney (Ancil), David Coder (Susan Smith), Stephen Coder (Linda Crowley), & Timothy Coder. She has 16 grandchildren & 4 great grandchildren.
She graduated from Roosevelt High School in Dayton in 1950 and worked as a secretary at WPAFB.
After raising her children she ran a daycare & touched many families & children with her love. She was a true child at heart. Her greatest joy was playing with children on their level.
She volunteered many hours at her church - Marshall Rd First Church of God in missions to Haiti, youth and in women's ministry.
She enjoyed traveling with her 3 sisters, Mildred Cordes, Mary Kiehl and Alpha Miles.
She was a blessing to everyone she met with her joyful, giving spirit. She leaves an emptiness in our hearts & Lives, but we have the assurance we will meet again - "And when death gives way to victory I'll see the lights of Glory & I'll know He lives" Thanks to our many friends at Kettering Senior lunch program, The Alzheimer's Assoc. (3797 Summit Glen Dr. G100, Dayton, OH 45449) and the many angel nurses from Hospice of Dayton (324 Wilmington Ave, Dayton, OH 45420), who gave so much loving care.
In lieu of flowers-consider a gift to any of them. A Memorial service will be held at Marshall Rd. First Church of God in Kettering at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 23. Friends may visit with the family at 10:30, prior to the service .
