SHOENBERGER, Doris K. Johnson, 80 of Centerville, passed away Saturday, July 10th at Hospice of Dayton. She is survived by her loving husband, Richard, of 56 years, her daughters and sons-in-law Denise and Jean-Luc Lo Cicéro of Dayton and Christina and Keith Wylie of Centerville, grandson, Murray Wylie of Nashville, TN, brother Frank (Gail) Johnson of Prattville, AL, special niece Lillian (John) Rovka of York, PA and numerous other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Glenn, and 7 brothers and sisters. We know Glenn is warmed by her smile and laugh and that he and Jesus have welcomed her to her new life. Doris was an avid card player, a Reds baseball fan, and a wonderful loving wife, Mama, Grams, and friend. Doris was a retired church organist who held a Bachelor of Music degree from Florida State University where Richard and Doris met. She enjoyed being surrounded by her friends and family - and chocolate! Family and friends can call Wednesday evening from 6:30- 8pm July 14th at Centerville Community Church, 10688 Dayton-Lebanon Pike. A memorial service will be held at 11am on Thursday July 15th in the Great Room of the Colp Building at Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave. Pastor Keith Mackintosh of CCC and The Rev. Dr. Robert Smith of Huron, OH officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
