Doris A. Reyes

Doris A. Reyes, age 83 of Dayton, OH passed away peacefully on Friday, September 20, 2019 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born July 8, 1936 in Washington Court House, Ohio to Herbert and Thelma (Hiller) Blades. Doris married Ramon C. Reyes in March of 1956 in Dayton, OH.

Doris "Pete" grew up in Beavertown and graduated from Fairmont High School in 1954. She retired from Defense Electronics Supply Center after 36 years of service. Doris enjoyed crocheting, embroidery and crossword puzzles. After retiring, she cared for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who she dearly loved. Doris had a great sense of humor, made everyone laugh, loved to cook and holidays were great at her house. She loved her family dearly and will be greatly missed by all.

Doris is survived by three daughters, Rosa Linda (Greg) McMullen, Catalina S. Gould and Maria L. (Richard) Reyes; and two sons, Ramon C. (Wendy) Reyes, Jr. and Roberto R. Reyes; thirteen grandchildren, Jason, Lauren (Paul), Ethan (Leizsa), Emily, Daniel (Taylor), Ramon III, Ricardo (Ashley), Jacob, Kyla, Christopher, Angelina (Brandon), Julia (Paul) and Jessica (Casey); 14 great grandchildren; a sister, Clara Brautigam; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ramon; and a sister, Mary Lou "Polly" Marsden.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Monday, September 30, 2019 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432. A Memorial Service will follow the Gathering at 12:00 noon at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services at Mt Zion Park Cemetery, Beavercreek, OH.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Doris's name to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Avenue, Dayton, OH 45420.
