Doris Mccormick

McCORMICK, Doris, age 79, passed away July 28, 2007 at Hospice of Dayton. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 43 years, Hervey who passed away in 1990; brother, Bob Haseley, and sister, Violet Powers. She is survived by her sons, John McCormick and wife Sue, Jerry McCormick and wife Rita; grandchildren, Emilie and husband Bill Jones, Jackie McCormick and fiance Michael Kaiser, Kiersten and Keenan McCormick, and great-grandchildren Jacob and Mikhaila Jones and their future sibling due in November. Doris loved her family and friends. Her greatest joy in life were "my sunshine" her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was actively involved in her church, including choir and prayer group. She retired from Wright State University in the IT Department. She was a long time volunteer at Crestview Manor Nursing Home and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW. Doris loved life and all of God's children. She will be missed by all who knew her. A memorial service will be held 11AM Wednesday August 1, 2007 at St. Andrew United Methodist Church, 350 N. Fairfield Rd. Beavercreek, OH 45430. At the request of Doris, in lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to Hospice of Dayton IPU, 324 Wilmington Ave. Dayton, OH 45420, or St. Andrew United Methodist Church.
