Doris J. Landis

Doris J. Landis, age 82 of Dayton, Ohio passed away August 6, 2024. She was born April 24, 1942 in Dayton, Ohio daughter of the late Leonard and Wilma (Shellabarger) Landis Sr.

Doris attended E.J. Brown Elementary School and was a 1960 graduate of Colonel White High School. In her early years she was a member of Fort McKinley Church of the Brethren, Happy Corner Church of the Brethren, Riverdale Methodist, and currently a long time member of Dayton First Baptist. Doris retired from Chase Bank after several years of employment. She was known for being cheerful and always in a good mood. Doris will be truly missed by all who knew her. 

In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Landis in 2017; and brother, James Landis in 2018.

Doris is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Leonard "Ray" (Janet) Landis Jr.; sister-in-law, Gina Kay Landis; niece, Katharine Landis (Jay Grech); nephew, Thomas (Kelly) Landis; great niece, Naomi; great nephew, Henry; as well as several other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 24, 2024 from 10-11am at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio 45424. A memorial service will begin at 11am with Pastor David Coggins officiating.
