Doris Franz

FRANZ (Puterbaugh), Doris C. "Cathy", age 82, passed away Monday, May 3, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Forest Franz. She is survived by her sisters, Gloria Young of Hamilton and Shirley (Richard) Haley of Springboro, sister-in-law, Rita Franz of Dayton, and many loving nieces and nephews, Linda, Bill, Grace, Jeffrey, Jill, Gary, Peggy, Nancy, and Connie. Special thanks to Georgetta Sergent and neighbors of Cottingwood Court. Cathy was a devoted Bridge player with her friends at the Kettering Recreation Center. She enjoyed taking care of her dog Mini Me and tending to her plants and gardens. Family will receive guests Saturday, May 8, 2010 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home and Crematory (3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, OH 45439) with funeral services immediately following. She will be laid to rest at Glen Haven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
