Doris Hattie Dobeleit

Doris Hattie Dobeleit (Study), age 96, of Dayton, passed away April 12, 2025. Doris was born in Dayton, Ohio on November 28, 1928 to the late Clyde and Myrtle Study.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert; sister, Marceile Armold; and her niece, Barbara Bailey.

She is survived by her daughter, Roxane Palmer- (Tim) Younce; son, Marty (Karen) Dobeleit; grandchildren, Ryan Smith, Danielle Dobeleit, Alex Dobeleit, Morgan Hurles and Andrea Palmer; great-grandchildren, Emma Hurles, Alana Hurles, Wesley Hurles and Francesca Fecher.

Doris retired from Kettering City Schools as a Secretary after many years.

She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority for 68 years. Doris was very active at Hope Lutheran Church and Faith Lutheran Church. She was also a member of White Shrine.

In her free time, she enjoyed square dancing, playing cards, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Doris was also an accomplished seamstress. She was a very loving and kind mother and grandmother.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2025 from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Newcomer Centerville Chapel (820 Miamisburg-Centerville Rd., Dayton, OH 45459). Funeral service will begin at 4:00 pm.
