July 17, 1929 — January 14, 2012

In loving memory of Doris "Sommer" Davis who passed away at 9:00am Saturday, January 14, 2012 at her home in Beavercreek, OH. Doris had suffered from Alzheimer's disease since 1998.

She is survived by her husband Marvin Ralph Davis of over 62 years. Doris has two brothers living, Norman Sommer and wife Pat of Springboro, Ohio, Robert Sommer and wife Lorraine of Trotwood, Ohio and sister-in-law Brenda Sommer of Vandalia, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Helena Sommer and her older brother John Richard Sommer. Doris has three children Kerry Davis and wife Karen of Beavercreek, Robert Davis and wife Lizabeth of Huber Heights and Lisa Davis Wilson and husband Keith Wilson of Beavercreek, Doris had six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren with two more on the way.

Viewing will be at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Road in Beavercreek from 6:00 to 8:00pm on Wednesday, January 18, 2012, with funeral services being held at 11:00am on Thursday, January 19, 2012. In lieu of flowers, please consider sending a donation to Hospice of Dayton, which took exceptional care of Doris.
