Doris A. Cavaliero

Doris A. Cavaliero, age 73, of Huber Heights, passed away June 13, 2022. She was born November 22, 1948 in Bucyrus, Ohio to the late George and Delores Gubernath. In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her sister, Pat Gubernath; and brother, George Gubernath, Jr.

Doris is survived by her spouse of 43 years, Holly Cavaliero; children: Anita Marie Creech (Josh), Brian Anthony Cavaliero (Amber), William Joseph Cavaliero (Stephanie) and Rebecca Anne Cavaliero; grandchildren: Kaden Xander Creech and Samuel Joseph Cavaliero; brothers: Jerome Gubernath (Linda) and Joseph Gubernath; sister, Evelyn Gubernath; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Doris worked for the U.S. Navy in Washington, D.C., was employed at the local hospital in Tiffin, OH, member of St. Peter Catholic Church for 43 years, but most importantly was a wonderful wife mother and grandmother. She enjoyed crocheting and watching Wheel of Fortune and Lawrence Welk. Doris was a devout Catholic, saying the rosary every day. She loved being outdoors, especially on her swing.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm on Monday, June 20, 2022 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at St. Peter Catholic Church, 6161 Chambersburg Road, Huber Heights. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at Dayton National Cemetery, Committal Shelter B.
