Doreen G. Mitchell
December 26, 1923 — March 9, 2015
Doreen G. Mitchell, age 91 of Riverside, passed away Monday, March 9, 2015 at The Hospice of Dayton. She was born December 26, 1923 in San Francisco, CA to the late John and Luvenia (Kerr) Gill.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Russell F. Mitchell; daughters, Laura J. Mitchell and Margaret (Mark) Landucci; 4 grandchildren, Katherine Teasdale, Elizabeth Landucci, Rebecca Landucci and Mary Landucci; great-granddaughter, Rowan Teasdale; brother, John (Suzanne) Gill and numerous extended family, friends and pets.
Doreen served honorably in the U.S. Navy from 1944-1946. She worked hard for and proudly obtained in Social Sciences, a Bachelor's Degree from San Jose State University and her Master's Degree from Iowa State University. Doreen worked and served as a Social Worker in various capacities throughout the world. She loved animals of all kinds but especially Boston Terriers.
She was dearly loved by her family and will be missed.
