Dorcas "June" Howard

Dorcas June Howard, age 88 of Germantown, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2018. June was born in Dayton to the late Ernest and Dorcas Georgetta Foster. June married her husband Bill Howard, in 1949. June was a dedicated and loving homemaker. She took great pride in her family. In June's free time, she enjoyed completing word puzzles and was a skilled rose gardener. June was a caring, compassionate, and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and friend. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.

In addition to her parents, June was preceded in death by her husband, William Grant "Bill" Howard; daughter, Donna Jean Howard; and 6 siblings, Ernest, Bob, John, Don, Blanche, and Rosemary.

June leaves to cherish her memory, loving daughter, Beverly Ann Brown; son, James William Howard; grandchildren, Joni Beth Kesling, Jessica Lynn Kesling-Shields, Jaeme Lee (Rick) Todd, Ann Marie Holliday, and Jason (Andrea) Howard; great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Tyler, Silas, Corbin, Raine, Jennifer, Denny, Ryan, Brandon, Kya, and one on the way; great-great-granddaughter, Josie; sister-in-law, Esther Hardin; and many other loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A funeral service will be held at Newcomer North Chapel on Monday, October 22, 2018 at 1:30pm. A visitation will take place for one hour prior (12:30pm - 1:30pm). Burial to follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery
