Wikstrom, Donovan Carl, Lieutenant Colonel USAF, age 80, passed away December 12, 2017.
He had lived in Beavercreek, Ohio since 1982. Donovan was born at the Swedish Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota on August 9, 1937. He was the oldest child of Carl and Bernice Wikstrom. He is survived by his loving wife Loretta, his son Bradley Wikstrom, his daughter Kendra Rubino and his son Brock Wikstrom.
He loved serving as a pilot in the Air Force and was honored to retire from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, the home of Aviation. He pioneered many Air Force initiatives and served with honor and distinction.
He gave his time and effort to many professional organizations and he served as chairman and president for two of those organizations.
His family will miss him greatly, he was a wonderful, caring person who helped his family in so many ways.
He will be buried in his family's cemetery in Minnesota.
A private service will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home in Beavercreek.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dayton VA Hospice.
