Donnie H Quillen

Quillen, Donnie H., age 68, of Vandalia passed peacefully at home on September 7, 2016. He was born on May 5, 1948 to the late Coy Quillen and Bernice Lee.

Donnie is preceded in death by his parents; sister Janet; brothers Bobby and Danny; godson Joshua.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years Sue Quillen; sons Brian Quillen and Erin Quillen; Precious daughter-in-law Heather Quillen; grandchildren Alyssa, Lauren, and Will; sisters Ann and Teresa; brother Steve; and a host of family and friends.

Donnie dedicated his life as a reserve police officer of Vandalia P.D. before retiring after 32 years. During his service to Vandalia he was the first and only reserve officer named Officer of the Year in 2005. In addition Donnie and his son Brian were the only father-son reserve officers. He also retired from Pepsi-Cola of Dayton after working for 42 years.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday September 13, 2016 starting at 12:00pm until time of service at 1:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home- 4104 Needmore Road. Interment to follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City. Minister Hershel Collins will be officiating services. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Crossroads Hospice.
