Donnie Doolin, age 67 of Riverside, Ohio, passed away Sunday, November 22, 2020. He was born May 1, 1953 in Harlan, Kentucky to the late Leonard and Wanda Doolin.
Donnie was a loving husband, father and grandfather who was all about his family; especially his grand babies. He retired from Metallurgical as a truck driver. He loved watching TV in his favorite recliner, fishing and biking with the grandkids. He also loved to dress up like Santa Claus for the kids at Christmas.
Donnie always stood for what was right but you never knew what was going to come out of his mouth. His tag line was "I know everything, if you don't believe me, just ask me."
He is preceded in death by his father, Leonard Doolin, Sr.; mother, Wanda Bryant; and son, Bubby Doolin.
Donnie will be missed by his loving wife of 47 years, Sandi; children, Cecil (Dondra) Doolin, Myla (Alex) Brannon, William (Mandy) Doolin and Missy (Kyle) Johnson; grandchildren, Sharla Doolin, C.J. Doolin,, Jr., Kassie Doolin, Logan Doolin, Dez Doolin, Alex Doolin, Kyle Johnson, Jewell Johnson, Anita Flint, Alyssa Houshel, Taylor Doolin, Charlotte Doolin, Jackson, Savannah and Xander; many great grandchildren including Ophelia Foutz; and brother, Lenny Doolin.
Visitation will be held Monday, November 30, 2020 from 5-7 p.m. at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton. The state of Ohio is under a mandatory mask order and has required that face masks be worn in all public places.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
