Donnie Mckee Burns, Sr.

Donnie McKee Burns, Sr., age 70, of Pleasant Hill, went to be with the Lord on January 19, 2021. He was born in Dayton, Ohio, on January 19, 1951, the son of the late Thomas and Mary Burns.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Debbi Burns.
Donnie is survived by his beloved wife, Connie Burns; his loving children, Donnie McKee (Heather) Burns, Jr., Jenny (Keith) Towle and Sara (Anthony) Allen; grandchildren, Jesse, Colin, Caroline, Maddie, A.J., Michael and Tori; step-children, Corey Wharton and Nicki Wharton; and many other loving family and friends.
He retired from Dayton School Board of Education, where he was employed for over 20 years. Donnie was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Local 24 for many years, where he served as Union Steward. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, being in nature, watching golf, cheering for his Cincinnati Reds and Cleveland Browns and spending time with family. Fishing with his grandchildren is something he cherished. Donnie was a very kind and gentle soul, who loved animals and helping anyone in need.
