Donna Pauline Wood

Donna Pauline Wood, age 92, of Xenia, Ohio passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on February 4, 2020 at Legacy Village. She was born December 14, 1927 in Weatherfield, Ohio to the late Fred and Pauline Durig.

Donna was a loving mother and mother -in-law. She was loved by all who knew her. She was involved in the Christian Women's Group, Gardening Club in Vandalia, Ohio, the Button Club also in Vandalia, Ohio. She loved to garden, collect buttons, and travel. Donna enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and was a phenomenal cook. She dabbled in arts and crafts and enjoyed using her craft to help with many groups she was a part of. When spending time with Donna you could hear her singing throughout her home.

In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Durig.

Donna is survived by her daughters, Jeri (Dan Herrig)Wood, and Tracy (Rick) Schoby.

The family will receive friends on Friday, February 14, 2020 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel ( 3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek). A graveside service will begin at 11:30 am at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery (8135 N. Dixie Drive, Dayton Ohio 45414).

The family would like to thank Legacy Village as well as Hospice of Dayton for the wonderful love and care that they provided to Donna and her family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Donna's memory to Legacy Village (695 Wycliffe Drive, Xenia Ohio 45385) and or Hospice of Dayton (324 Wilmington Avenue, Dayton Ohio 45420).
