Donna P Sterrett

STERRETT, Donna P., age 70 of Bellbrook, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 due to complications from diabetes. She was born in Dayton to the late Myrtle and Dorsey Lykins. She graduated from Colonel White High School in 1965 and went on to earn a degree in business. Donna was a member of the Dayton Darlings Drill Team and performed in many parades and events. She married Thomas Sterrett in May of 1966 at their church, Linden Avenue Baptist Church. Donna had a patient heart and moved with her husband from Dayton to Panama City, FL to assist in running their roller skating rink they built. Together they lived in Panama City, Florida, Oakwood and Worthington, OH, Lake Leelanau, MI, and Bellbrook, OH. During her time in Michigan, Donna was the president of the Lamp Lighter's.

Donna was an avid gardener and crafter. She loved to spend time with her husband, children, and grandchildren. Donna was a kind, caring, and loving woman who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to Donna's parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Schram.

Donna leaves behind to cherish her memory, loving husband of 51 years, Thomas Sterrett; daughters, Heather Sterrett and Kim Smith; granddaughters, Courtney and Hannah Smith, and Kaylee Meyer; sister, Lois (Ray) Terry; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A Celebration of Donna's life will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 3pm at St. Andrew United Methodist Church (350 N Fairfield Rd, Beavercreek, OH 45430). The family will greet friends and loved ones for two hours prior (1pm-3pm). A private family burial will be held at a later date at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
