Donna Jean Schwab, age 85, was called from labor to rest when she passed on April 14, 2015 at 12:45pm at Hospice of Dayton.
Born on July 24, 1929, the daughter of Charles and Lela Mae (Viles) Robinson and Robert L. Shadowens, Sr.
She is survived by her son, Michael Schwab of Cleveland, GA; granddaughter, Donna Marie Brunswick; 3 great grandchildren, Devon, Alex, Marissa Brunswick of Atlanta, GA; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn (Janice) Edwards of Englewood, OH; brothers and sisters, Robert (Patty) Shadowens, Jr., Carolyn (Gary) Carroll, Leah (Rafael) Cruz, Anita Clark, Joe Shadowens all of Dayton, William Shadowens of Knoxville, TN, Keith (Jonnelle) Shadowens of West Milton, OH, Jeanette (Dave) Casey of Grove City, OH; 2 very important people, Tiffany Shaw, Karen Easter; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents and sister-in-law, Wilma Shadowens. Donna married Kenneth Richard Schwab (Dick) on November 20, 1948 who proceded her in death on July 18, 2010.
Donna worked a number of years in Dayton, OH when she was a young woman and in recent years was a housewife. Donna volunteered at the Springfield Community Hospital, Springfield Elderly United Services and Kuss Auditorium for many years in Springfield, OH.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 20, 2015 at 10:30am at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, OH 45424 with Reverend Dick Robbins officiating followed by burial at Dayton Memorial Park.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, April 19, 2015 from 5pm - 7pm. Memorial contributions can be made to the charity of their choice.
