Donna Felkley (Emmons), age 68, passed away at her home in Kettering on Saturday, April 6, 2019. After many years of ill-health, the family is relieved she is finally at peace. She is survived by one of the great loves of her life, her husband, Ted Felkley; sister in-law, Pam Manzo (Susan), nieces, Kimberly (Crisp) Alayna & Christina (Little) and Jody Manzo (Caleb & Braden).
Donna was born December 16, 1950 in Valdosta, Georgia to the late Walt and Delores (Davidson) Sellars. Donna studied in Florida and spent most of her career in various salons as a nail technician. She ran a successful business in Bellbrook and then together with her husband Ted, they established a nail salon in the basement of their Kettering home. Donna was a member a Kiwanis and leaves behind many friends that will miss her.
Donna adored her cats, Midnight, Butch, and Sable as if they were her children. She was a voracious reader and felt most comfortable in the garden beds with her hands in the dirt.
She loved to watch the birds outside her window. Her amazing neighbor, Richard Keith kept her bird feeder full when she could no longer do it and provided her with countless other acts of kindness.
Ted and Donna loved to spend time at the family cottage in Lake Erie. Her favorite activities were boating, fishing and basking in the sun. That is where her family will forever choose to remember her; smiling in the sunshine looking over the water.
In lieu of flowers, you can make a donation to your local animal shelter.
Service will be private at the convenience of the family and have been trusted to the care of Newcomer, South Chapel.
