Donna Elizabeth Dailey, age 68, of Phillipsburg, Ohio, passed away on November 18, 2023. Donna was born in Dayton on October 10, 1955 to the late Mivory Spencer and Gene Dunn. In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her sister and brother in law, Deborah Leach and Leach; sister, Diane Spencer; brother, Gregory Spencer; and mother in law, Joann Cook.
Donna is survived by her husband of 54 years, Garry Dailey; children: Brian (Traci) Dailey and Samantha Brown; grandchildren: Ryan and Austin Dailey; brother, John (Vicenta) Spencer; sister in law, Chris (David) Bieker; and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and family.
Donna loved her family more than any thing in this world. Donna and Garry met as teenagers in 1969 at a roller skating rink. When she saw him she told her friend, "I'm gonna marry that man some day." From there they fell in love, got married, and created their family. They celebrated 54 years in love and they were the epitome of true love. Donna was a proud mother to her two children and raised them with love, understanding, and pride. She was beyond elated when she became a grandmother and absolutely adored her two grandsons and daughter in law. Her life was one of love, laughter, and strength.
Donna took pride in caring for her husband, children, and grandchildren. Her favorite thing to do was to cook for her family. Thanksgiving was one of her favorite holidays because it was then that she had everyone she loved together, enjoying the meal that she cooked from her heart. When she wasn't cooking, she was dancing. She loved to turn up her music and dance her cares away. Music spoke to her soul. At any event or family function, you would find her on the dance floor. She always thought about others first, especially her family and friends. She would always make sure to call on your birthday and sing to you and she never missed one.
Donna was an amazing woman that held compassion for her family and friends. She was a beautiful woman inside and out. She was loving, strong, courageous, caring, bold, outspoken, and so much more. She was truly a one of a kind woman that will be deeply missed by her family.
To say Donna will be missed is an understatement. She will never be forgotten and will be held in the hearts of so many people that she has touched. Her husband, children, and grandsons will love her for eternity.
