Donald R. Wilson, age 82, of Huber Heights, passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2022. He was born on March 27, 1940 to Worley and Grace Wilson.
He loved the Lord and his church, and those were two of the most important things in his life. He had a kind and tender heart, and he loved children, especially his own. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather, and he loved his family dearly. He also had a passion for classic automobiles, going to car shows, and enjoyed watching Western movies.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Worley and Grace Wilson; his sisters, Mamie, Ona, Ruby, Jean, and Luella; and his brother, Roby.
His memory will be cherished by his beloved wife of 61 years, Phyllis Wilson; his three sons: David (Dyna), Darius, and Don (Laura); his twin brother, Ronald; his sister, Joyce; grandchildren: Dustin, Caleb, and Tara; great-grandchildren: Hailey, Silas, and Carly; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A visitation will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, in Dayton. A second visitation will be held the following day on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 from 12:00pm to 1:00pm, where the funeral service will begin at 1:00pm, officiated by Dennis Epperson. Following the service, Donald will be laid to rest at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens.
