Donald C. Walling, "Don", age 95, formerly of Dayton, passed away January 6, 2022 in Elsmere, KY.
He was born September 24, 1926 in Irvine, KY to the late Fred and Susie (Rawlins) Walling. He was a proud Navy Veteran of WWII and was also a member of Gates of Praise Church.
In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his wife Juanita in 1974. He is survived by his children, Michael (Denise) Walling, Randy Walling, Jack (Melinda) Walling, Lois (Tim) Campbell, Joanna Webb, Rebecca Walling; 58 grandchildren and great-grandchildren, brother David (Carolyn) Walling; his beloved significant other Ollie Marlow and her son Robert (Amy) Marlow, along with many other relatives and friends.
Don enjoyed being in the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed listening to Bluegrass music and playing the banjo.
He was deeply loved and will be truly missed.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 11, 2022 from 10:30 am until time of service at 11:30 am at Newcomer Kettering Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Burial will follow at Dayton National Cemetery.
