Donald Towson
December 20, 1917 — June 1, 2013
Donald R. Towson, age 95, of Columbus, OH and formerly of Arizona and Dayton, OH passed away on Saturday June 1, 2013.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Lorayne Towson.
He is survived by his children, Denese Krug, Sharma Hipkiss, and Daniel Towson; grandchildren, Jami Lung, Christian Hipkiss, and Brenda Muffler; great grandchildren, Jilianne and Laurel Lung, and Hayden Hipkiss, and Milena Muffler, and sister, Marie Martin, Wanda Rotroff; and brother, James Hardin; and many nieces and nephews.
Don was a US Army veteran of WWII, golfer of many years, lover of Big Band music, an avid boater and traveler, and a proud member of the "Greatest Generation." He was loved by many and will be missed by all.
Visitation is Friday June 7, 2013 from 9am to 11am with funeral service starting at 11am at the Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel), Kettering, OH.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warriors or Honor Flight.
Interment is in Hillgrove Cemetery, Miamisburg, OH.
