Donald Stutz

STUTZ, Donald "Don", age 78, passed away on Monday, November 14, 2011. Beloved husband, brother, father, Pawpaw, and Pawpaw the Great, devout Christian, great man and friend. You lost your fight with heart disease, and are in God's hands now. You will always be in our hearts, and we are grateful for everything you ever taught us, grateful for every moment we had together.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Stutz. Don is survived by his wife of 57 years, Jackie Stutz; mother-in-law, Freda Bondy; children, John (Tami) Stutz, Debbie (Jack) Girardot, Jeff (Rhonda) Stutz, and Julie (David) Thompson; grandchildren, Niki, Tony, Mandy (Dustin), Eric (Lindsey), William (Ashleigh), Michael, Andrew, Ashlee, and Hannah; great grandchildren, Alex, Caitlyn, Dillon, Sydney, and Bryce; sister, Janet (Gary) Latham, as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was very active in the south YMCA Silver Sneakers. Don enjoyed singing in several church choirs and was also a charter member of the Dayton Boys Choir. He was a graduate of Stivers High School and Ashland College.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, November 18, 2011 at Fairhaven Church, 637 E. Whipp Rd., Centerville, where he was a longtime member. Family will receive friends from 10:00 am until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice of Dayton or the south YMCA Strong Kids Program.
