Donald "Don" E. Streeter, age 69, passed away at home on February 9, 2020.
He was born on September 25, 1950, in Port Clinton, OH. Don graduated from Port Clinton High School in 1968 and Miami University (Oxford) in 1972. While at Miami University, he sang with the Men's Glee Club and enjoyed participating in their European tour.
He spent several years working for private industry before accepting an industrial engineer position at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB) in November 1983. His last assignment at WPAFB was as an environmental engineer, retiring in January 2017.
Through the years, he enjoyed playing baseball and bowling, tent camping, and Volksmarching. He is a former member of the St Helen Church choir. Don was a huge fan of the country singer, Jim Reeves.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wade and Irene (Binsack) Streeter; his brother, Theodore "Ted" Streeter; and his brother-in-law, Robert "Bob" Kaucher.
Don is survived by his wife, Rebecca "Becky" (Story) Streeter, Dayton, OH; son, David "Dave" Streeter, Dayton, OH; three sisters-in-law, Deborah "Debby" Kaucher, Englewood, OH; Lissa Story and her partner, David Eells, Framingham, MA; and Diana Eckman-Streeter, Centreville, MI; two nieces, Shawna Streeter and family, Columbus, OH, and Stacy (Lance) Son and family, Columbus, OH; and numerous cousins.
