Donald W. Speck, age 76, passed away February 26, 2024. He was born on August 24, 1947 in Monterey, TN to the late Jane Kimmel and Paul Speck.
Don was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He was an avid reader and a passionate woodworker, who enjoyed building keepsakes for family and friends. Don loved his family fiercely. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Randy Speck and his first wife, Linda Fry Speck.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kendra Speck; his children, Shannon (Curt) Wyatt, Heath Speck, Tabatha (Todd) Stryker, Sean (Janna) Speck, Trevor (Alice) Speck, Travis Speck, Sara (Kenny) Pride, Mallory (Corey) Dickerson and Jodie (Clint) Wall; his grandchildren, Kiersten, Taylor, Carson, Sydney, Devin, Wyatt, Mariah, Brianna, Anisa, Jaslyn, Lainey, Chase, Phoenix, Arizona, Mason, Coltin, Parker, Makenna, Kendall, Owen, Amelia, Lincoln, Logan and Tucker; 8 great-grandchildren; his siblings, Kathy (Roger) Edwards, Janie (Mike) Pearson, Ron Speck and Dee Hall and his faithful dog, Mauer. He is also survived by numerous family and friends.
Visitation will be held Monday, March 4, 2024 from 4pm to 6pm with services immediately following, all at Newcomer Funeral Home - North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd. Dayton, OH 45424.
