Donald G. Slanker

Donald G. Slanker, age 86, of Miamisburg went home to be with the Lord on May 6, 2024. He was born in Dayton on November 8, 1937 to the late Harold and Virginia Slanker.

Donald is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Margie; children, Donald (Sherry) Slanker, Debbie (Tom) Mitchell; grandchildren, Matthew Slanker, Joshua (Amanda) Slanker, Joey Slanker, Brooke Slanker, CarolAnn Mitchell, Chris Mitchell, Catie (Derek) Topp and great-grandchildren, Kira, Kayson, Ellie and Kellen; along with many other family and friends.

Donald retired from Delco Moraine after 33 years of employment. He served in the United States Navy for 4 years. Donald was a volunteer fireman/EMT and an avid bowler with multiple 300 games. He was a member of First Baptist of West Carrollton. Donald loved spending time with his grandchildren and will be greatly missed by his family.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at Newcomer Kettering, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Service will begin at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial with military honors to follow at Highland Memorial Cemetery, 723 Upper Miamisburg Road. Pastor Scott Wells to officiate.
