Donald R. Russell, age 74 of Beavercreek, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2016 in Fort Myers, Florida. He was born November 18, 1941 in Sunshine, Kentucky.
He is preceded in death by his father, Eugene Russell; and mother and step-father, Dorothy and Albert Hampton.
Donald is survived by his wife, Carolyn; two Brothers, Arnold (Linda) Russell and Larry Hampton; two sisters, Mona Daniel and Patricia Molen; father-in-law, Walter Slouffman; daughter, Christine (Mark) Johnson; son, Stephen Russell; three grandsons, Mickenzie Johnson, Carter Russell, and Carson Russell; two granddaughters, Kaitlyn and McKayla Johnson. He is also survived by numerous family and friends.
Donald loved his family. It meant the world to him to have walked his nieces down the aisle on their wedding day. Donald was an avid golfer and enthusiastic card player. Often, you could find him playing pool at the Beavercreek Senior Center. Most of all, he loved spending his winters in Florida with his wife, Carolyn.
A Memorial Celebration will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home on April 30, 2016 from 2 – 4 pm.
