Donald Mcarthur Ratliff

Donald M. Ratliff, age 76, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away on August 7, 2022. Donald was born on October 17, 1945 in Pekin, KY to the late Howard and Thelbert Ratliff. In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his brother, Roger Ratliff; sisters: Ray Barker, Theresa Bohannon, an Rhonda Marshall; and the mother of his children, Nadene Ratliff.

Donald is survived by his children: Donald K. Ratliff and Lisa M. Ratliff; grandchildren: Haniyn Al-Haniyf and Misty Faye Baker; great-grandchildren: Salaahuddiyn Al-Haniyf, Hawwa Al-Haniyf, Sayfuddiyn Al-Haniyf, Sulayman Al-Haniyf, and Bentley Ray Baker; brother, Warren Ratliff; and many other family and friends.

Donald was a hard worker, he was very intelligent and educated. He proudly served in the United States Navy for two years. Donald was the best father a son and daughter could have and was always there for his family.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 from 10:00am to 11:00am at the Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. A funeral service with military honors will follow immediately at 11:00am. Donald will be laid to rest at Dayton National Cemetery.
