Donald R. Pratt, "Don", age 80, of Miami Township, passed away Thursday, June 3, 2021,
He was born March 9, 1941 in Hardburly, Kentucky. Don proudly served in the US Air Force at McGuire Air Force Base. He was a member of the Moraine City Eagles, Miamisburg Moose and the American Legion Kettering Post 598.
Don was preceded in death by his mother and father, Mabel and Tedd Justice, daughters, Lisa Pratt, Dee Pratt, son Phillip Hurley, brother, Rodney Pratt, sister-in-law, Ozella Pratt, niece, Stephanie Pratt, and mother and father-in-law, Marcella and Edward Pottenger.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Pratt; daughter, Amy Grant; sons, Tedd Pratt, Charlie (Lourdes) Daniel; brother, Kermit Pratt; niece, Sandy Hayward; sisters-in-law, Dot Pratt, Carole (Randy) Vaught; brother-in-law, John (Lisa) Pottenger; special "girlfriend", Sharon (Bob) Kinser, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Don enjoyed fishing, watching the New Orleans Saints, Cincinnati Bengals, and Ohio State football. He also enjoyed Nascar, cruising and singing karaoke.
Don never met a stranger, he had the 'gift of gab' and made friends easily. He will always be remembered for his laughter and hugs, and will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2021 from 2:00 pm until time of service at 4:00 pm at Newcomer Kettering Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in Don's memory.
