Donald Peyton

Peyton, Donald Francis left this life on Friday, April 12, 2013, in Dayton, Ohio. He was born October 18, 1933, at old Providence Hospital on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC to George R. Peyton and Mary Louise Mahaney. He was raised by his paternal grandmother, Louisa Mary Peyton. He attended Eastern High School.

In July 1953 he went to work for the Department of General Services. In 1973 he was appointed to the position of Administrative Officer for the DC Superior Court by Chief Judge, Harold Greene. He maintained that position until his retirement in October 1994 at which time he and his wife moved to Quincy, IL and began to travel frequently throughout Europe and the United States.

He played golf as much as possible and he loved to dance which he also did as much as possible.

He was preceded in death by his four-year old son, Michael William Peyton. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Cyzick Peyton, formerly of Cumberland, MD. He is also survived by three daughters, Donna Michele Peyton, Ft. Meyer, FL; Terri Lee Johnson (John) of Kansas City, Nichole Louisa Peyton, Dayton, OH; and a son, Ralph Kaibni Peyton (Lisa), also of Kansas City. He is also survived by five grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Family will receive friends from 4-6:00PMat Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd, Beavercreek, OH with a funeral service to follow at 6:00 PM. Special Thanks to Dr. Gregory Gordon and Dr. Jack Pence for their compassionate care.
