Donald R. Lockwood, age 72 of Dayton, passed away Monday, April 6, 2020 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born October 23, 1947 in Dayton, Ohio, the son of the late Richard and Estella Lockwood.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Lockwood; and his sister, Janet Kocher.
Don is survived by his daughters, Tammy (Matt) Sundermann, Kelly (Andy) Delgado; grandchildren, Aaron, Ben, Claire, Zoe, Ashton, Adasynn, Grace; brother-in-law, Don Kocher; niece, Rhonda Kocher-Amos; nephew, Randy (Diana) Kocher; and best friend, Ray Bertsky.
Don was a very proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, having served two tours in Vietnam. He loved classic cars and was immersed in his hobby for his entire life. He was a master mechanic with an uncanny ability to take apart and put together anything. Along with these, he was most proud of his family and extremely loyal.
Private services. Burial will take place in Willow View Cemetery with military honors.
